National Bank MD lauds Treasury for move on Shariah compliant bond

National Bank MD lauds Treasury for move on Shariah compliant bond National Bank of Kenya has lauded a move by the Government of Kenya to tap into Shariah compliant financing instruments following the announcement of     plans to launch the first ever sukuk bond in the country. Managing Director termed the announcement a “historic feat that will further catalyze economy” saying that both the Islamic population and the nascent Islamic finance industry in Kenya would tremendously benefit from the state action.  Many investors from the Islamic faith in the country and around the world have not been able to participate in domestic borrowing efforts by Kenya’s Treasury and in such other bonds such as the Eurobond due to religious restrictions. “A sizeable portion of Kenya and the world population profess the Islam faith and this move, therefore, further deepens their participation and financial inclusion." The presentations and exhibition stands were of surprising quality.  It is perhaps this seriousness from motor dealers that informed the bank rolling: A good show costs you the good dollar!  Together with the Kenya Motor Industry Association (KMI), she has organized Motorshow events every year since 1993. She says nothing quite is like a good party.  And this year, she moved it from the open Jamhuri grounds to the indoors! “We are bringing the Total Motor show to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre  where it all began, ” Cattermole told journalists. There was concern about quality of fun for show goers. Would there be flypast helicopter and  fixed wing aircrafts performance? Will there be the attraction of the 4x4 challenge

How cooking gas will change Africa

How cooking gas will change Africa It depresses me to note that a tree must fall in Africa for someone to cook a meal. _________________________________ If there was one lesson Africa can learn from the way humankind has reacted to COVID19, it is how fast we must change our behaviors to survive when our environment changes. We need such drastic change in how we cook. It depresses me to note that ,presently, a tree must fall in Africa for someone to cook a meal. And that need not be the case. We have  recently joined the push to increase usage of clean cooking energy. According to the recent  United in Science  report, humanity is already seriously threatened by ongoing systemic ecological changes . UNEP says the world  is presently losing 10 million hectares of forest cover every year!  Forests  play important role in reduction of carbon dioxide from our environment, and without trees, we cannot win against  climate change .  Deforestation is therefore the single most potent threat to
